The Shift Sessions

AN IN-PERSON SOMATIC EXPERIENCE AT HATCHER PASS YOGA

Alaska in the summer is alive. The days are long, the sun doesn’t set, and everything begins to bloom — the birds start singing, the bees begin to buzz, the bears emerge from their dens. The land feels lush, bright, and full of movement. And just like the land, we expand too. We move more, do more, play, explore, and soak in every bit of light we can find. It’s a season of abundance — and it can be easy to lose touch with ourselves in the midst of it.

The Shift Sessions are your invitation to stay rooted in your body through it all. They’re a monthly space to slow down, reconnect, and come home to yourself in a way that feels nourishing, supportive, and real.

Each 2-hour in-person session is intentionally designed to help you regulate your nervous system, deepen your awareness, and build somatic tools you can carry with you into your everyday life. Each session is limited to 13 women to keep the space intimate and supportive. This isn’t about escaping the season’s fullness — it’s about learning how to meet it from a place of embodiment and ease.

You don’t have to know how. You don’t need to be in the right headspace. You just need to come as you are. We begin there.

These sessions are offered once a month throughout the summer. You’re welcome to attend one, two, or all three — each session stands on its own and does not require previous attendance. Come to what calls to you.

Three Sessions, Each An Invitation Inward

Return

A gentle invitation to come back home to your body. As summer reaches its peak, this session is about grounding into your inner landscape. We’ll explore practices that help you settle your nervous system, feel your breath, and meet the heart of the season from a place of softness and presence. You’ll be invited to return to your body — not as a project to fix, but as a place to land.

Sunday, July 20 | 2 PM - 4 PM

Expand

When your body feels safe, it naturally opens. In the fullness of late summer, this session is about exploring what it means to gently expand your capacity — to hold more joy, more breath, more of life itself without losing your center. Through somatic practices and nervous system support, we’ll invite your body to open softly, growing from a place of true safety and ease.

Savor

As the light begins to shift subtly and summer prepares to soften into fall, we pause and take in what this season has brought you. Together, we’ll reflect on the abundance that’s unfolded within and around us, root into the present moment, and savor the sweetness of summer. It’s a space to slow down, to taste life more fully, and to honor this tender turning of the seasons.

What You Can Expect

Each session is designed to feel like a spacious, nourishing exhale — a pause in the rhythm of your life where your body gets to lead.

You’ll be guided through a thoughtfully curated experience that may include:

  • Nervous system education to help you understand what’s happening in your body and why it matters

  • Breathwork and grounding tools to regulate and restore

  • Somatic practices and intuitive movement to reconnect with sensation, expression, and internal rhythm

  • Journaling and reflection to help integrate what arises

  • Time in nature (weather permitting) to attune to the land and let the earth support your process

  • Restorative stillness to let your body settle, digest, and receive

  • Simple take-home tools to carry the shift into your everyday life

These sessions are not about doing it perfectly. They’re about learning to listen. To move at your own pace. To feel what’s real. And to remember that your body already knows the way back.
